On March 28, the EHSS Office of Worker Safety and Health Policy hosted a presentation titled: Amputations, Machine Guarding, and Pinch Points. Nicholas DeJesse, Assistant Regional Administrator for OSHA Region III, presented on amputation statistics, enforcement methods, and case studies related to machine guarding. In addition, a subject matter expert from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory presented a safety experience on managing risk of machine guarding at the front-line level with a computer application management program.
